GISTec staff are experienced in the design and maintenance of Microsoft Access (Access 97 and Access 2000) databases and the integration of Access with MapInfo.

We can design databases to suit most client requirements, including the development of queries, forms, reports and custom macros or applications to automate processes.

Microsoft Access is suitable for handling most organisations' database requirements, from small companies or businesses to large corporations. It can be used in a standard file server configuration on a single PC or office network, or as a front end for enterprisewide client/server applications using a Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle back-end database.

Access is also higly scalable, allowing the database and its applications to grow with the organisation.

Access provides excellent security with the ability to establish both accessibility and validation rules.

MapInfo version 6.0 and above provide support for directly opening Microsoft Access 95/97/2000 database tables. Users can read and write to Access tables from MapInfo including the ability to add, update and delete records, and perform complex SQL queries.
