CD Writing

GISTec can write data to CD-ROM or rewriteable CD. We use a Hewlett Packard CDRW guaranteeing readable CDs every time. Data can be emailed, sent on floppy or Zip disk, or we can transfer the data from your office computer to our laptop for later writing to CD. Client's confidentiality is gauranteed.

Document Conversion to Adobe Acrobat PDF

Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) is the open defacto standard for electronic document distribution worldwide. PDF is a universal file format that preserves all of the fonts, formatting, colours, and graphics of any source document, regardless of the application and platform used to create it. PDF files are compact and can be shared, viewed, navigated and printed exactly as intended by anyone with a free Adobe Acrobat Reader.

PDF offers the following benefits:

• when you distribute documents using Acrobat, you can be sure they're secure. Password-protect confidential documents to to control access. Apply specific restrictions, such as preventing recipients from printing or modifying files, selecting text and images, or creating and modifying electronic notes and form fields, to preserve document validity.
• PDF files can be published and distributed anywhere: in print, attached to email, on corporate servers, posted on web sites, or on CD-ROM.
• the free Acrobat Reader is easy to download from the Adobe web site and can be freely distributed by anyone. More than 40 million people already have it.
• compact PDF files are generally smaller than their source files and download a page at a time for fast display on the web

Data Recovery Services

Despite the increasing reliance on personal and laptop computers for nearly every aspect of business, many companies remain ill prepared to recover from data loss. In today's business environment, there is a very long list of potential data disasters, including software incompatibilities, human errors, viruses, and hardware failure.

GISTec offer a data recovery service using PowerQuest's powerful Lost and Found software which will automatically recover and restore data after accidental (or even intentional) data loss, or from corrupted media caused by a disk crash or logical system failure. The software provides an after-the-disaster backup solution allowing data to be recovered from anywhere on the disk (as long as it is still spinning) even if the drive has been reformatted.
